Maylekota kabagula: Feedback from Europe Direct( European information network designated by the European Commission)

 Dear Tegarus Brothers and Sisters,

Please find the message below received from high officials representing  Europe Direct, European Information Network.   Like All Tegarus who are saddened by the war crime against our flesh and blood Tegarus, I had to move heaven and earth to inform the war crime to everyone who could help us stop all sorts of crime, ethnic cleansing, massive destruction of our private and public properties and heritages endemic to our land, etc, and I sent an email to the afore-mentioned organization.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I  believe people tend to share the email or message they received to their co-workers or to their intimate friends, and this tendency will inevitably help us to get our message to disseminate among many people who are our target groups. We all are in the same boat, hence we need to work together to resolve the plight of our beloved Tegarus in the hands of merciless people. Thank you for your understanding. May Almighty God Deliver our People from the furnace of blazing fire, War waged by perpetrators!  Amen! የቅንየለይ!
Here it goes:

Thank you for your message and for sharing your concerns about the situation in Ethiopia.

Our service would like to bring to your attention the statement by High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell on his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Mr. Demeke Mekonnen, held on 24 November.

On this occasion, the message of the European Union (EU) was clear: "we call on all parties to put in place the conditions that will facilitate unimpeded access to people in need, the cessation of hostilities, the non-interference of any external party, and the freedom of the media. Engagement with the High-Level Envoys appointed by the Chair of the African Union should open the door for a dialogue that is the only way forward to avoid further destabilisation."

The statement is available for your information on the following page:

In addition, during the video conference of EU Foreign Affairs Ministers held on 19 November, High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell raised concerns about Ethiopia, the situation in the Tigray region, the ethnic-targeted violence, the allegations of atrocities, and the human rights abuses.

HR/VP Borrell briefed Ministers about his calls with Ethiopian and regional partners, to whom he expressed his concerns and the European Union’s readiness to support a peaceful solution and an inclusive dialogue.

Moreover, the European Commission has informed the Council about the mobilisation of financial resources to try to help the Ethiopian refugees that have fled the region, the conflict, to the neighbouring countries – mainly Sudan.
